Barış and Murat met while working at the Yemeksepeti depo in Alibeyköy in Istanbul as delivery workers. They bonded over their love of motorcycling.
But as delivery workers started to strike when their annual raises didn’t meet inflation, they found themselves at the center of the action. They learned politics the hard way, as the last strikers to hold out.
A year on from the only delivery worker strike to drag on and lose, ‘They call me a phenomenon’ revisits these two friends to reflect on where they are now and how they see their strike today.
